What is the gear ratio?

Gear ratio is the relationship between the number of teeth on the drive gear and the driven gear in a drive system. A higher gear ratio provides more torque but lower speed, while a lower ratio offers more speed but less torque.

Aero Pro in its stock configuration has a gear ratio of 36:14. In settings, the ratio is entered as 2.6.

To calculate the gear ratio to enter in settings, divide the number of teeth on the driven gear (the wheel pulley) by the number of teeth on the drive gear (the motor gear).

For the Aero Pro, the driven gear is the 36T wheel pulley, and the drive gear is the 14T motor gear. The calculation is as follows:

36T ÷ 14T = 2.57142857

Round the value to the nearest tenth (2.6) to enter in settings.
