Aero Pro’s Electronics

With cutting-edge battery technology and performance features, the Aero Pro S and Aero Pro X push the boundaries of what riders can expect in terms of range, power, and efficiency—without sacrificing weight.

The Aero Pro S’s battery is configured in a 14S1P arrangement, delivering 222Wh of premium power at just 15.5 pounds (7.0 kilograms). Having a 50A peak ESC with a 1P configuration is only possible by harnessing the acclaimed Molicel P45B cells, widely recognized as the premier choice for personal electric vehicles due to their stability and performance. This means ample discharge current headroom, twice the cell lifespan, and noticeably better performance at freezing or below-freezing temperatures compared to similarly sized battery packs using more commonly available cells.

Not only does 14S enable us to fit in around 15% more range compared to a 12S arrangement, it also decreases the amperage needed for the same total wattage. This in turn means that under the same discharge current, the Aero Pro is 15% stronger than conventional 12S boards.

For seasoned e-skaters, the Aero Pro X might be an even more exciting configuration. At 14S2P, the capacity is doubled to 444Wh, while the range is more than doubled due to the even lower impedance.

444Wh at 18.3 pounds (8.3 kilograms) is unfathomable—2 to 3 kilograms lighter than other boards around this battery capacity.

Recharging from 20% to 80% takes just 60 minutes with the standard 165W charger, or a mind-blowing 15 minutes with the optional 600W fast charger. A full charge takes 100 minutes or 25 minutes, respectively. Double these times for the Aero Pro X model as their chargers are the same.

The motor controller is a Field Oriented Control (FOC) ESC which outputs at 14S for a sustained current of 40 amps and a peak current of 50 amps. The ESC and motors are both compatible with other motors and ESCs. However, for the Aero Pro, we have baked the motor profiles and curves straight onto the ESC, increasing the efficiency of the whole system.

Although designed to be a commuter board, the Aero Pro is the most powerful electric skateboard under 16 pounds to date. It doesn’t just go up hills—it launches you up like a rocket.
