Parsec 80s wheels on Aero Pro.

Aero Pro’s Wheels

The Aero Pro comes stock with the Parsec 80s wheels: 80mm in diameter, 56mm contact patch, 76A durometer, and an offset “Kegel” core. Its polyurethane formula is mixed for excellent grip and durability to handle the power of a modern e-board.

Why not bigger?

Rather than follow the e-skating trend of going bigger, we opted for the 80mm size to help retain that authentic feel of traditional longboarding where 80mm is considered large. The Aero’s minimal weight, low ride height, agile trucks, low resistance drivetrain, and these wheels are all part of our effort to replicate the longboard experience which you simply don’t get from big and heavy boards.

You can of course swap to bigger wheels for a more cushy ride if you need, but I encourage you to thoroughly try the Parsec 80s before writing them off as too small. You might be pleasantly surprised by how well they perform!

Compatibility

The Parsec 80s wheels and Aero Pro’s wheel pulleys use what e-skaters call the “Kegel” core pattern, which originated from the Orangatang Kegel and is today used by numerous other brands. Some popular wheels that use the Kegel core include:

Another popular core pattern is the “Abec Clone”, more commonly referred to today as simply “Abec”. (They’re slightly different but nobody cares anymore.)

The most popular aftermarket wheels today that use the Abec core are the various wheels from Cloudwheels.

To mount wheels that use this core pattern on the Aero Pro, you’ll need to purchase compatible wheel pulleys. We have these available at our shop.

The largest wheels we’ve tried without getting wheelbite are the 120mm Discovery FEs from Cloudwheels. You technically can get wheelbite at the front if you force it. It’s just highly unlikely to happen while riding, even at low speeds, because of how much lean is required.

The recommended wheel sizes for the Aero Pro are 80–110mm.
